Mickey Mouse & Friends find a home in Times Square

 After two years of planning, including seven months of construction, the Disney Store will officially open at 1540 Broadway on Tuesday, Nov. 9. To celebrate the launch, Disney is closing Times Square for a two-hour parade featuring favorite characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Cinderella and Buzz Lightyear as well as NYC Mayor, Michael Bloomberg.

“This store was designed to give kids the best 30 minutes of their day,” said Disney Store President Jim Fielding.

The new 20,000-square-foot store, which will operate from 9 a.m. to midnight daily.Visitors will notice the 20-foot-high Princess castle and a Cars ridemaker, as well as an entire section dedicated to Marvel comic memorabilia. The ground floor is 30-feet high and the second floor is 24-feet high. The store also boasts 10 permanent cash registers, along with some mobile checkouts, and a 65-foot animated billboard outside the store, which will show clips from movies, TV and Broadway.

           Why TV shows about nurses/doctors do not capture reality

HawthoRNe”, “Nurse Jackie”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Mercy” has something in common. While they portray doctors and nurses in action, they forget the details as in real time. These heroes cannot do whatever they want. What about the rules and regulations, the policies and procedures, they have to be mentioned, so that the public will understand how we professionals work and practice behind these scenes.
